Sandi Krakowski and Working at Home

If you are one who thought your dreams were just something that came into reality when you closed your eyes at night, and you have a strong desire to educate yourself on how to go 'up' rather than just a desire to get 'out' of where you are at, we'd love to hear from you.

Ways to Drive Traffic To Your Website

Ad Co-ops

Co-ops, as mentioned above, are a very powerful way to build yours and your associate’s businesses. Many new recruits would like to advertise but don’t know how or where to place their ads. Many just drop an ad in the classified section of their local paper. While there is nothing wrong with this there is a much better and effective way to advertise.

If you don’t have a large budget for yourself, find other members in your organization and collect a small fee from each person. If it’s a $5,000 fee to run in a magazine then find 20 people that have $250, and co-op it. Our system has Co-op Rotation Manager built in. You can automatically distribute leads equally to Co-op participants.

Personal Referrals

Personal referrals can never be over stated. Even if you have had a previous business that didn’t work out, even if you have told your friends and family before, you never know when the right time will be for someone. For many taking a “no” from a stranger is much easier than taking a no from someone they know- it seems to affect them on a more personal level. It really shouldn’t. The success you might achieve thru personal referrals really has nothing to do with you in the first place. If I refer a friend, an acquaintance or someone I know to my business opportunity it is for the exact same reason I call a cold lead! It’s because I truly believe that my business can fill a need they might have, period. It has no bearing on me personally if I make a 6-Figure income in my business and a friend thinks it’s a hoax or not. Honestly, when I started making a 6-Figure income some people became more interested who know me personally, in my business opportunity. Some grew very skeptical and some thought I was doing something illegal. The lesson learned is- everyone is different so expose your business in as many ways as possible and in as many forms as you can.

Ezine Ads:

One relatively inexpensive way you can get your offer out to prospective customers is through ezine advertising.

What is an ‘ezine’? Basically, an ‘ezine’ is an ‘electronic magazine’ or ‘e-zine’ for short. Most ezines contain a few articles along with accepted ads. Many Internet entrepreneurs have published their own ezines that focus on the topics that interest them. For example, one person may write articles on Sports while another may write articles on Automobiles. The wonderful news for all of us that are eager to reach new markets is these publishers accept advertising in their publications. So, if you have a target market in any particular area, find an ezine that you believe your product, service or opportunity may do well in.

If you have not tried ezine advertising you need to take a closer look. There are literally thousands of published ezines in circulation every week heading for subscriber’s email boxes. These subscribers have actually requested (opted in) to receive ezines that focus on topics that interest them. Many entrepreneurs seek out a particular ezine they feel is a good match for their wares and choose it to advertise in. For example: You have a new collar for dogs, that helps get rid of fleas. I would suggest that an ezine that is targeted toward dog lovers would be an excellent place to advertise. This is called ‘targeting your market’. Decide who is the most likely candidate for your product, pick a publication that caters to this market and advertise there. Your chance for success is increased significantly when you target your market.

Many ezine owners accept 3 line to 5 line ads, which can be dropped into the top, middle or bottom of the ezine. Typically the top spot costs much more than a bottom listing. Ezine owners may also sell solo ads to their lists. This would be a direct mailing of your offer alone to their targeted list. Solo ads can run upwards of $100 or more but can generate much more interest in your offer.

If you want to try ezine advertising and don’t know where to start, go to www.lifestylespub.com The owner has been compiling a directory of ezines for about 5 years now and has assembled a searchable database of hundreds of weekly and monthly ezines from around the world. The database will give you all the information you need on any particular publication you may want to advertise in. A membership to the Directory of Ezines may also give you a discount on your ad. The Directory of ezines Membership for 1 year is approximately $50.

Here is one last tip for advertising in ezines. Make sure that your contact info leads your prospective customer back through a lead capture page that is tied to your autoresponder that triggers a series of followup messages on your product, service or opportunity. Capturing your prospect’s contact info so you can followup with them will help to generate future success in your endeavors.

Card Decks:

Many companies offer card deck advertising. This form of advertising can be super cheap to participate in. Basically, a lead vending company will bundle together a handful of postcards into one package called a card deck. The decks are sent out to targeted lists and the recipient usually opens the deck and sorts through the cards. This is similar to a co-op only you are not managing it, the company is.

HTML Emails:

Send out through your system. Find premium opt-in email companies that will mail to their subscribers. Find companies with lists of naturopaths, chiropractors, massage therapists, other professionals that would be interested in promoting your product or business.

Newspaper

The following is a list of advantages you gain with newspaper advertisement:

• Newspaper ad production cost is relatively low. This allows multiple ads to run in different sections of the paper to target different audience types.

• Newspaper readership is fairly high among adults -- especially those of the higher education level. Much better prospects can be found with this type of advertising.

• Newspapers usually allow greater flexibility in revising ads prior to print.

Strategic ad placement is very important. If possible, place your advertisements near the beginning of a section, on the right-hand side of page. This is the area where the eye falls naturally. Direct your prospect to a 1-800 number or web address for lead capture.

Direct Mail

As mentioned previously direct mail can be very expensive BUT very lucrative. The cost of printing stuffing and postage coupled with proper follow-up can be too expensive for even a small group of people. The cost of reaching an individual through direct mail can be even greater than television, making it the most expensive advertising medium per person reached. Studies have shown though that direct mail has the highest impact of any medium. Your message reaches each recipient in a personalized way. It can be opened or read when they are ready to view the message.

The success of a direct mail piece is based on whether the recipient opens the letter. One of the most common ways to get a prospect to open your letter is to put a teaser on the outside. To do this select a business size envelope, on the left hand side put a headline or perhaps a photo and a quick message as to what is inside. This will arouse curiosity and the prospect will find it hard to resist. In one of my earlier campaigns I used this technique very effectively. I included a small B/W photo with a headline on the left hand side of the business sized envelope. It read

A short while ago I started my own business working from home.

Today, I am making as much as $1000 per day! I’ll show you exactly what I’m doing and how you can do the same!

It was a very successful campaign. I can’t tell you how many folks opened the letter but 73 out of 1000 or 7.3% actually called my 800 - number for more information. This is an extremely high number of prospects from a direct mail piece. Most advertisers and people in the business will tell you 3% is high and they would be happy with .5%.

IF and I say IF again…you choose to use direct mail please do small test mailings first. Do not go out and rack up your credit card thinking you are going to make a million dollars. You can make very good returns IF you test first and then roll out your campaign on a bigger level. Just changing ONE WORD in the copy can be the difference between a success or failure.

Magazine Advertisements:

Here you will want to start a co-op due to the high cost involved. Many magazine ads are as much as $5000 for a full page. This can have a major impact on your business though especially if you repeat the ad month after month. People that view the ad will think your business must be legitimate and worth looking into if you can continually place full page ads. It would be a good idea to consult your organization and get a commitment for several months worth of advertising before you place your ads.

Post Cards:

Many list vendors offer post card campaigns. Costs are cheaper than sending out your own postcard because there are other offers next to yours. Rather than spending $5000 on a postcard campaign the postcard company may split the card into 10 equal sections and sell each section for $500. This way rather than costing $5000 to reach 10000 people you have spent $500. You don’t have much room for your message though so we suggest a strong headline that leads your prospect to your lead capture page where they can fill in the form for more information. Again, this triggers the autoresponder and adds them to your targeted opt-in list.

One thing I really like about postcards is the fact that they do not have to be opened. You can put your message on both sides and no matter how it is laying on the table the message is readily available to your prospect.

Business Cards:

Whether your business card promotes your opportunity or your product they are a great, inexpensive way to advertise. Include your web address that leads to your lead capture page on every card and hand them out at every opportunity. Leave them on restaurant tables and in public restrooms or on professional services bulletin boards.

Your card can have an intriguing message like:

I show folks how to retire on double the income. Or,

I show folks how they can drive a new vehicle every year. Or,

I show people how to earn twice their pay working half the hours.

You get the idea…A powerful headline can produce magical results.

Flyers and Posters:

Flyers can have similar magical results as other methods listed here. Simply use a powerful headline to get a response from your prospect. Include your web address of your lead capture page where your prospect can get more information. The beauty of this method is its extremely low cost. Printing and paper may be as inexpensive as $100 for 5000 sheets of 8.5 X 11. All you need to complete the job is your labor. An afternoon of canvassing your neighborhood putting up the posters and handing out flyers is all it will take. Pretty soon your web page will be getting hit and your list of prospects will be growing rapidly in your prospect manager. All for a few dollars and an afternoon walk.

Where to post: Post on community bulletin boards, Laundromats, car washes, mall bulletin boards, under windshield wipers, in mailboxes etc. etc. Please check with local officials first though. There may be laws against some of these activities.

Radio and TV Advertisements;

These can have a super impact on your campaign. Both of these media can reach thousands or even millions of prospects around the country. In fact, over 150 million Americans listen to talk radio in the US everyday. What kind of impact do you think a radio infomercial would have on your product sales? Radio offers a dramatic improvement over “print” advertisements. The “listener” is captive to the message unless they switch stations or turn the radio off.

Believe it or not, it isn’t necessarily that expensive to use either TV or Radio. If you do your research you will find that often, different time slots are unsold and are dumped for bargain basement prices at the last minute. This also goes the same for unused magazine and newspaper space. If you co-op a campaign the price can be extremely reasonable for 30, 60, 90, 120 second or even full half hour infomercial type timeslots. Simply create the ad or have it professionally done for you and drive traffic to a 1-800 number or a website where they can get additional information on what you have to offer.

Fridge Magnets:

You can have fridge magnets created as reminders to existing customers to Re-Order or Get on AutoShip for their favorite products. The company you represent may also have some form of advertising like this.

Banner Ads;

A banner ad is somewhat similar to a traditional ad you would see in a printed publication such as a newspaper or magazine, but it has the added ability to bring a prospect directly to the your Web site. This is something like touching a printed ad and being immediately teleported to the advertiser's store! A banner ad also differs from a print ad in its dynamic capability. It stays in one place on a page, like a magazine ad, but it can present multiple images, include animation and change appearance in a number of other ways.
If you are interested in posting banner ads on other sites you have three basic options.

• Arrange to display other Web sites' banner ads in exchange for them displaying your ad.

• Pay sites to post your banner.

• Pay an organization, usually a banner network to post the banner on other sites for you

If you want to get your banner ad on a lot of sites in a short amount of time (and don't want to pay for it) then your best bet is joining a banner exchange program. Search the web for more details on these types of programs.

Re-Prints:

Many times companies are featured in newspapers or magazines. You may be able to acquire re-prints that you can personalize and hand out to prospects. This is a super way to drive traffic to your System to capture product or opportunity lead information.

Audios:

Have your upline leaders or yourself create short audios introducing business - building techniques, product knowledge, sharing their story, etc. Make these audios available online, on webpages, or through the admin panel back office. You can also use the Recruitomatic system to send short audio clips via email. For more information check out talkOMatic in your admin panel.

Record Conference Calls

This is similar to above. Record conference calls and make them available on or offline. The call can be used to drive traffic to your lead capture page for more information.

Record Opportunity Calls:

Same as above.

Voicemail:

Set up Audio Brochure numbers to allow people to call into and listen to opportunity calls, product reviews, inspirational stories, testimonials, and options to contact a rep. Here you can let prospects where to visit you on the web for more information.

Press Release:

Press releases are a great marketing technique you can use to pull in a lot of inquiries and sales without spending a single penny on advertising. Press release marketing is an absolutely free way to build your business very quickly.

You can use the same technique as before to get email addresses. At the end of your press release, drive your prospect to an 800 number or your lead capture page for more information.

This is all a sampling of what you can do and should do over time to make full use of the power of your system. It is flexible and can grow as you grow. Master what you have now, educate others on how to use its power so they can master it themselves and in turn, repeat the process through their ranks. This will build a large, knowledgeable and dedicated organization.
